What file types can I upload?
Photos in common formats, PDFs, text and Markdown files, Word documents and audio files such as MP3, M4A and WAV. Each file can be up to 20 MB. HEIC photos are converted on your phone first.
How is Upload different from MemX Smart Scanner?
Upload is you choosing a file on purpose. MemX Smart Scanner watches your photo library, within the folders you include or exclude, and files new photos and documents on its own. Both end up searchable in the same place.
What if I upload the same file twice?
MemX spots duplicates by file content, so the same file is not saved twice. It checks content, not the file name, so a renamed copy is caught too.
What happens with no signal?
Uploads are queued on your phone and survive closing the app. They finish when you are back online. Asking questions still needs a connection.
