Family Vault is coming. It will let you share chosen documents with family from your own account.
Your partner asks where the school forms are, again, and you forward the same files for the third time.

Questions
What is Family Vault?
A way to share chosen documents with a family member inside MemX. It is not available yet, and we have not announced when. The documents will stay in the owner's account and the other person will be able to browse them.
Who owns the shared documents?
The person who shared them. They stay in the owner's account, encrypted with the owner's account key. The owner can stop sharing at any time. Family Vault is coming, so this describes the design, not a release. Nothing here states when it will be available.
Can the other person leave or block?
Yes. A recipient can leave a vault or block the person who shared it. The owner can manage sharing and remove a document. Sharing is always a choice made by the owner, and removing a document ends access to that document.
Is every read recorded?
Yes. Reads of shared documents are logged with both identities. This is private by architecture, not end-to-end encryption. Both the owner and the recipient appear in the record of each read. Family Vault is coming, so details may change.
