FEATURES

Built for hands that can’t tap easily.

Everything Ethan does is meant to keep you in control: it shows you what it is doing, asks before it sends, and stops where it should.

A spoken-task card, Agent Ethan's "You just say it" screen, and Mom's chat pulled out with the reply typed and the Send button waiting.

Speak a task, or type it.

Tap or hold the big microphone and say what you need. Ethan turns your voice into a task, shows a short plan, and gets to work. Long-press the app icon to start listening straight away, or type the task if that is easier.

The "What Ethan reads" and "When it happens" cards from Agent Ethan's permission screen, shown large: the text and buttons of the app you asked it to use, only while your task is running.

It reads the screen, so you do not have to.

With your permission, Ethan reads the text, buttons and layout of the app you asked it to use through Android's Accessibility Service, and uses a screenshot when the text alone is not enough. Then it makes the taps, typing and scrolling for you, one step at a time.

Mom's chat in Agent Ethan with a gold ring around the typed reply and a blue ring around Send, a "Go ahead" card, and the note that gold marks what Ethan will press the moment you say go ahead.

It asks before it sends.

Before Ethan sends a message, confirms something or makes a call, it stops and checks with you. You say go ahead, and then it presses. By default it asks before every send or call. If you want it to press Send or Call itself when it is sure of the contact, that is an opt-in under Settings, Agent, then Autonomy.

The Messages search box from Agent Ethan, enlarged, with the app's gold ring around the box Ethan is about to use and the note "The golden mark keeps you in the loop at all times."

A gold ring shows what it is about to press.

Ethan marks the next thing it will tap with a hollow gold ring, so you can see what is about to happen. A small pill stays on top of your screen while it works, with Pause and Stop.

Four speech cards, one for each of four languages, joined by one dotted line to a single Agent Ethan plan card beside a phone.

Speak in your own language.

Ethan understands many spoken languages. If the app on your phone is in English but you do not read it well, speak in English, Spanish or one of many other languages, whatever you speak at home, and Ethan handles the English screens. It can talk back in a natural voice, or stay on screen only if you prefer.

The approval group from Agent Ethan's "Where I stop, every time" screen: Book or reserve, Purchase or make a payment and Delete content, shown over Agent Ethan's "Where I stop, every time" screen as things Ethan waits for your go ahead on.

It stops where it should.

By default Ethan is designed to stop before paying, booking and permanently deleting, and hands the phone back to you at those moments. It skips password boxes and one-time codes. Factory reset, deleting an account, signing out and a permanent delete always ask you to confirm.

And the details that matter.

  • Pause and Stop, always on top

While a task runs, a small pill stays above every app. Pause holds the run where it is. Stop ends it, and what is done stays done.

  • It asks when it is unsure

Numbered choices appear over the things to pick from. Answer by voice, by saying the number or the name, or with a tap.

  • Works with TalkBack

Keep your own screen reader on. Ethan’s controls are labelled for TalkBack, and it can speak when it starts, when it needs you, and when it is done.

  • A floating button

If you turn it on in Settings, under Agent, then Floating button, Ethan can sit as a small floating button. It is off by default. Tap it to speak a task, and snooze it for an hour by dragging it to the bottom, or switch it off in Settings.

  • Task history

A short summary of each task helps a follow-up continue, and you can clear it any time. The privacy policy explains what else is kept.

  • Free to start

A daily allowance of assisted tasks is included. You sign in with Google or an email address.
